Customs: Russian aluminum exports triple to 420,100 tns May
MOSCOW, Jul 9 (PRIME) -- Russia’s aluminum exports almost tripled on the month to 420,100 tonnes in May, the Federal Customs Service said on Monday.
In monetary terms, aluminum exports grew 2.55-fold to U.S. $751.6 million in the month.
In January-May, the exports rose 22.8 % to 1.337 million tonnes in volume terms and 44.1% to U.S. $2.482 billion in monetary terms.
Copper exports grew 25.9% to 288,200 tonnes worth $1.965 billion, a 52.5% increase in the period
Nickel exports went down 2.1% to 57,700 tonnes with the cost increasing 40.4% to $786.8 million.
